The crime of recruiting children in war and conflict is one of the most serious types of crime affecting children’s lives and causing serious harm to their psychosocial health and lead to the destruction of their future and the denial of their fundamental rights, as well as the creation of generations distorted by involvement in hostilities in armed conflicts that know nothing but fighting and destruction which generates a very dangerous generation with an abnormal upbringing, Children are raised among armed groups, especially extremist groups, which lack humanitarian and moral standards.
This phenomenon is a war crime and a flagrant violation of human rights and international humanitarian law, Indeed, children in Africa are more vulnerable to recruitment by virtue of the fragility of the security, economic, educational and political realities child soldiers all of which have been exploited by non-State and terrorist armed groups in the recruitment of children, Through methods of intimidation and humiliation, simultaneously exploiting the security gap and weak capacity of Governments to enforce the law.
